New UK Promotion- PROGRESS Wrestling
As a lover of ALL things wrestling, we at Total Wrestling always like to support independent promotions. We would like to highlight a brand new, UK based company called ‘PROGRESS Wrestling’.
Below is the lowdown on this fledgling promotion…
“PROGRESS Strong-Style Professional Wrestling is a new, upstart wrestling promotion based in London. It promises to be the only British wrestling organisation to run regular shows in Central London, with the awesome rock music venue that is The Garage Islington their home arena.
Our remit is to showcase how amazing British Wrestling can be – letting the new stars of today stretch their talents and become the new legends, stepping into the significant shoes of the Dynamite Kid, Rollerball Rocco, Steven Regal, Fit Finlay and Johnny Saint.
The team behind PROGRESS remember when wrestling was awesome in the UK. They’re going to bring it back, in front of a loud, proud and INSANE crowd in London every three months – no stupid gimmicks, no foam fingers for the kids, just great wrestling for wrestling fans by wrestling fans.”
Their debut show is being held in Islington, London on Sunday 25th March. Of course the Total Wrestling crew will be in attendance (feel free to buy us a beer for a shout-out on the site by the way!). The big news for this show is that the king of the indies, Colt Cabana himself, will be headlining the show alongside Zack Sabre Jr, RJ Singh, El Ligero, Colossus, Nathan Cruz, Marty Scurll, Noam Dar, and more!
Tickets start at just £7, that’s cheaper than 2 pints of lager in some pubs these days, so really no excuse not to attend!
